Welcome to Alzheimer’s South Africa

There are more than 36 million people with dementia worldwide and the number will rise to over 115 million by 2050.  With so many people affected, it's time dementia was recognised as a global health priority.  We must combat stigma and ignorance so that people with dementia receive the care, treatment and attention they deserve.

Our vision is a country that is aware and accepting of people with dementia, and that provides adequate services to them, their families and other carers.

Alzheimer's SA is the leader in the field of Alzheimer’s and dementia in South Africa, providing support, education, training and information on matters pertaining to dementia.

To contact us, call our helpline on 0860 102 681 or 011 478 2234, or one of our regional offices - click here for their details.
